Texas A&M athletic director Scott Woodward first met new head football coach Jimbo Fisher back in 2000, when both men were at LSU. The duo developed a friendship that has last almost two decades and was instrumental in bringing Fisher to Aggieland on Monday.

Fisher credited Woodward for selling him on his vision for the Aggies, and together they hope to lead A&M to national prominence. A 10-year, $75 million contract certainly made Fisher's decision easier, but his familiarity with  Woodward was what first opened the door to him coming to College Station.

Colin Deaver goes in-depth on the friendship that landed A&M its big fish.
