The Adoption Collaborative of Central Texas will team up with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to host a foster care and adoption information event in Belton next week.
The event will be held at from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 20 at The Gin at Nolan Creek, located at 219 South East St. in downtown Belton.
Organizers said both prospective and current foster or adoptive families were welcome to attend. DFPS adoption workers will talk about children currently available for adoption. And, representatives from child placing agencies will be on hand to field questions about getting licensed to foster or adopt kids.
