The Temple Police Department confirmed Tuesday it was investigating two different alleged home invasions in the same block.

The alleged victims in the first burglary told police three suspects kicked open the bedroom door last Friday, pointed guns at them and demanded "unknown items" in the 300 block of S. 24th St. in Temple, according to an incident report. The victims said the suspects fled when they couldn't find whatever they were looking for, police explained. One victim told police only a cell phone was missing from a night stand next to the bed, according to Temple Police Spokesperson Shawana Neely.

The second home invasion allegedly happened Sunday -- also in the 300 block of S. 24th St. The caller told police she and her boyfriend were sleeping at her home when three masked men attacked the boyfriend and hit him several times in the head with a handgun, according to police. The caller was not hurt. Police said the front door was damaged when they arrived. Police took an assault report, while the boyfriend was being treated at Baylor Scott & White hospital.

No further details were immediately available.
