A well-known regional casino has announced that Kenny Rogers has canceled his tour stop there - along with the rest of his final tour.

Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort located just over the state line in North Carolina reported on Wednesday that the famed singer, known for songs such as "Lady", "Islands in the Stream" and "The Gambler", was canceling his tour over health concerns.

"Kenny Rogers has been working through a series of health challenges," the casino said in a statement. "His doctors fully expect the outcome to be great, but they have advised him to cancel all performances through the end of the year to focus on recuperation."

Rogers, now 79, was on his "Kenny Rogers: The Gambler's Last Deal" tour which was to be his last.

"I didn't want to take forever to retire," Rogers said in a statement. "I've thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to say farewell to the fans over the course of the past two years on 'The Gambler's Last Deal' tour."

He also thanked fans for their encouragement and support over his over 40 years as a solo artist.

Refunds for the Harrahs Cherokee show are available at the point of purchase and Ticketmaster will automatically refund to cards for the purchase.
