Central Texas children needing dental care will be able to see a dentist for free on Sunday, May 21 during the third annual 'Sharing Smiles Day,' which is being sponsored by Kool Smiles.
Dentists will provide services at no cost to kids up to 18 years old who are uninsured or underinsured. Treatments may include simple dental exams, some limited emergency care procedures, extractions and restorative care, according to Kool Smiles.
"While Kool Smiles dentists accept a wide range of insurance plans, including Medicaid and TRICARE, Sharing Smiles Day ensures that those families in our community who do not have dental coverage and do not have the means to pay out of pocket for dental care get the dental care they need," Kool Smiles Spokesperson Alisann Fatemi said in an email.
