(KCEN) -- Houston Texans' head coach Gary Kubiak is awake and coherent after collapsing at Sunday's game against the Colts.

Kubiak fell to the ground at halftime. He was responsive to medical personnel before he was strapped to a backboard and taken off the field.

The Houston Texans say Kubiak did not have a heart attack, but still won't release his condition.

The 52-year-old was hired as the Texans' head coach in 2006.

Until now he's had no publicly known health problems.

He remains hospitalized for more testing.
