Belton Police made an arrest in Friday's hit-and-run crash that killed a teenager.

Officers arrested Ronal Norwood, 61, of Temple on Tuesday evening. He is accused of striking Richard Snyder, 13, with his vehicle and then driving away. The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 18, while Snyder was riding his bike in the 2100 block of the I-35 service road near a mobile home park. Snyder was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Norwood is charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing death, which is a second-degree felony. Bond was set at half a million dollars.

According to a Belton City Spokesperson, Norwood showed up at the Belton Police Department on Saturday and admitted he was involved in the crash. So far, police said they had no evidence that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
