More than eight cities are under a boil water notice.

Coryell City Water District issued the notice Monday stating:

“As a precaution, due to low chlorine levels from the Gatesville Water Treatment Plant, Coryell City Water Supply district is activating a boil water notice for ALL customers until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenient. You will be notified when the notice is lifted.”

The water district spans about 1200 square miles in McLennan, Hamilton, Bosque and Coryell counties. Coryell City, Crawford, Turnersville, Jonesboro, Levita, Pancake, Osage, Mound and their surrounding areas are served by the Coryell City Water Supply District.
