A car ran out of gas and caused a pile-up on I-35 in Bell County around 6:30 a.m. on Monday.

The 10-vehicle crash happened on the northbound side of the Interstate, just north of Mile Marker 306.

In total, 16 people were involved. One of them were transported ot the hospital for evaluation. The other 15 were not hurt, according to Temple Fire & Rescue Spokesperson Thomas Pechal.

Temple Fire & Rescue, Temple EMS, Temple Police and DPS officials all responded.

Heavy delays affected drivers during their Monday morning commutes. The scene was cleared shortly before 9 a.m.
