On March 2, 1836, Texas declared independence from Mexico in retaliation to the restrictions given to the state by General Santa Anna.
Around Texas celebrations are being held and one of those places that is participating is Bell County Museum who will hold celebrations on March 3, so families can attend.
The museum will have flags to decorate for kids, Texas state maps to draw on, and a giant Texas declaration to be signed by all who attend and will then be put on display.
Not only will they have hands-on activities for the kids, the museum currently has a number of exhibits on the day and the Texas transition to become part of the United States.
