Ronald McDonald House Charities in Temple received a new car thanks to GM Financial.
GM Financial donated the vehicle to the organization, which offers a place to stay for the families of seriously ill children receiving medical care at McLane Children's Hospital.
Ahead of Friday's event, Don Ringler housed the vehicle and encouraged customers to donate necessity items from the charity's wish list.
"They asked their customers to fill the [vehicle] up with items from our wish list," said the Ronald McDonald House of Temple's Executive Director Susan Bolton.
GM Financial said it was refreshing to see a strong partnership like this one in the City of Temple.
"To see a business have an impact in the community and to be there firsthand to witness it is great," said GM Financial Executive Vice President of Customer Experience Robert Beatty.
Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that two vehicles were donated, one of them being from Don Ringler. Don Ringler housed a vehicle and helped with other donations. But, there was only one vehicle given -- and that was by GM Financial.
