Former Channel Six News Military Reporter Tiffany Pelt won a national feature reporting award Tuesday for a story she covered about sculptor Troy Kelly, who poured sweat and tears into a memorial for the victims of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting.

Pelt's story won the national Edward R. Murrow award for best feature report among small market television stations in the entire United States for 2017.
