A domestic dispute between two brothers spilled out of a house and into the street around 3:00 Tuesday afternoon, culminating in shots fired, according to Killeen Police.
Killeen Police Commander Alex Gearhart said they located three brothers in the 3600 block of Ida Drive in Killeen. Two of the brothers were physically fighting with each other when one of them retrieved a handgun from inside the home, Gearhart said.
Witnesses reported hearing shouting and several gunshots and saw the man with the handgun pointing it at his brother, police said. Nobody was struck during the gunfire, but the man who had the gun sustained minor injuries during the physical altercation, according to Gearhart. That man was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was taken to the Killeen Police Department Jail.
Detectives were still trying to gather more information, as of Wednesday afternoon. And, no names were released.
