A funeral has been scheduled for former professional bareback rider Chris Harris, 41, who was found dead inside the former Salvage Carpet building, where he lived in Bosque County, after a fire destroyed the structure this month.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. on April 3 for the Tarrant County native and six-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier. The funeral will be at Cowboy Church of Ellis County, which is located at 2374 U.S. 287 Access Rd. in Waxahachie.
Harris joined the PRCA in 1996 and participated in thousands of rodeos during his career. He also bred bucking horses and deer.
