Starting tonight the Coryell Creek Critters Barbeque Cookoff & Festival will be on for young and old. Entrants can try their luck at brisket, ribs, chicken and jack pot beans.

The kids will get to show off their pit skills, cooking up their best pork chops in the kids cook-off that will be judged by kids no less.

A kid zone will be onsite with a host of different games such as bowling, darts and ring toss. And if they have their eye-in they can also have a go at the dunk tank.

The event is held to benefit the American Cancer Society and will donate proceeds to the charity - to date they have raised over $75,000. A balloon ceremony will also be held to remember loved ones lost, people can submit messages that will be written onto the balloons before they are released.
