Two Killeen Police officers bonded with children during a Parks and Recreation Month event this week.

The city hosted a "Fly a Kite" event at Marlboro Park on E. Veterans Memorial Boulevard Thursday morning.

And, although the children enjoyed the kites, they were fascinated by Officers Krakowian and Rust who stopped by to say hello.

"Although the kites were cool, the patrol unit was a kid magnet," KPD said in a Facebook post. "Thanks guys for making these kids' day!"

The police department shared photos of the children climbing into the police car and getting to activate the emergency lights.
