Black Friday shopping has officially started... Yes you read right. This year the door busters are already being offered Thursday evening. Best Buy started their Black Friday sale at 5 p.m. Thursday and Target and Walmart started their sale at 6 p.m.

Should you rush out? Well it depends on what you are looking for. Door buster prices are often limited to exactly what is on a store's flyer. Here are links to the fliers for stores mentioned above:

Those deals definitely will have some great savings, but there is a caveat. They may not be the brand or specific quality item that you are looking for. An Xbox One Bundle in the Target ad, for example, is cheaper than the deal offered at Best Buy. But the Best Buy Xbox One had a larger hard drive that may be worth an extra $50.

Also keep in mind that door buster deals cannot be price matched, while items that are just "on sale" at the time of Black Friday can still be price matched later on. Additionally, If you previously bought an item that was newly discounted for Black Friday, you can often go back to the store for a partial refund so you get the new deal too.

If you don't see a product you really want, however, it may actually be smarter to hold off on the shopping mania until cyber Monday.

Finally, there might be new deals at your favorite store Friday or Saturday. Best Buy actually has new door buster deals for Friday and Saturday while Target offers the same deals from Thursday to Saturday.

Keep these tips in mind and stay safe this shopping season!
