A mechanical failure in the refrigeration unit inside of one of the trailers was the cause of a fire Tuesday at the Mars Chocolate Plant in Waco, according to the Waco Fire Marshall.
Flames were spotted from a tractor trailer parked at a local dock just after 1:00 p.m. The flames quickly spread to five other trailers and became a three-alarm fire due to strong winds.
The fire never spread to the building. However, workers inside the plant were evacuated as a precaution.
No one in the surrounding area were impacted by the fire.
