Milam County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in possession of more than $830,000 cash, gambling equipment, and firearms after finding him passed out behind the wheel early Monday morning.
Officials said deputies were called to the 2400 block of FM 1712 about a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway. Deputies said Rock Eanes, of Rockdale, was found passed out behind the wheel.
Eanes was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.
Deputies found the money, as well as gambling equipment, within several bags inside the vehicle. They also found two firearms.
Eanes was charged with driving while intoxicated (third or more) and unlawfully carry of a weapon.
The investigation was ongoing, and additional charges were pending Monday.
