Police: Shots fired from SUV at Waco home, four men return fire

Police haven't found any evidence that anyone was hurt during the shooting.

The Waco Police Department on Monday announced it was investigating a drive-by shooting that happened late Sunday night near the intersection of S. 22nd Street and Park Avenue in Waco.

Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton said shots were fired from a dark SUV, with at least three people inside, toward a home located at 2217 Park Avenue. He said at least four men inside the home returned fire.

"The shootout continued in the immediate neighborhood and up to two blocks away," Sgt. Swanton said.

Police said casings from multiple weapons were recovered in the yard and surrounding streets.

"No one was willing to speak with police during our investigation," Sgt. Swanton said.

Officers do not believe anyone was hurt.
