July is Parks and Recreation month and the perfect time to get outdoors in the community for the activities put on by Central Texas cities.

Tuesday in Killeen was a water balloon toss that was available for kids of all ages to attend and have some fun getting each other wet and participating in water balloon games.

Throughout this month, Parks and Recreation Departments will put on shows and activities for families such as candy movie night, bubble day, reptile shows and more. And the best part is all the events are free.

The water balloon event was held at Long Branch Park in Killeen at 10 a.m.
