Three Central Texas lawmakers unhurt after fatal train crash in Virginia

Three federal lawmakers from Central Texas were on the train that collided with a trash truck in Crozet, Virginia Wednesday morning.

The train had been carrying Congressional Republicans to a retreat in West Virginia.

Rep. Roger Williams, Rep. John Carter and Rep. Bill Flores all confirmed via their Twitter accounts that they were aboard the train. None of them were hurt. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was also on the train. He was not hurt either.

At least one person was killed in the crash, but no members of Congress were seriously injured, according to the White House.
