A 43-year-old West man was arrested by Woodway Police Thursday for Online Solicitation of a Minor with the intent to have sexual contact.
Officials said Kevin Dudik imitated a conversation on a social media account to whom he believed belonged to a 16-year-old girl. The account turned out to be an undercover officer.
Dudik was made aware of the girl’s age and acknowledged it could get him in trouble. Police said he exchanged several sexually explicit messages and requested pictures of the minor before asking to meet at a location in Woodway.
Officers stopped Dudik when he arrived at the scene and was arrested without incident.
Dudik also faces charges of Possession of Marijuana Under Two Ounces and Driving While License Invalid, which are both class B misdemeanors. The Online Solicitation of a Minor offense is a second-degree felony.
The suspect also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for Failure to Pay Child Support.
Dudik is currently in the McLennan County Jail.
