A world-famous statue in Catholicism is making nationwide tour on a message of peace and made a stop Wednesday night in Temple.

The Fatima Centennial U.S. Tour for Peace is a two-year tour of the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima. The tour commemorates the 100th anniversary of the apparitions at Fatima.

The statue was brought to St. Luke Catholic Church in Temple where members of the community got to witness and pray to it.

Fatima’s statue was sculpted in 1947 and has been all over the world.

If you did not get to see the statue, it will still be in central Texas as it will be traveling in the Austin area for the next few days.
