(KCEN) -- The NFL season is just getting underway and already we're getting word who will perform at halftime at the Super Bowl.

Sources say Grammy-winner Bruno Mars will perform during the famous halftime show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Feb. 2. 2014. Previous performers include Beyonce in 2013, Modanna in 2012, The Black Eyed Peas with User and Slash in 2011, and The Who in 2010.

The person who leaked the news remains anonymous, but the official announcement by the NFL is expected on Sunday.

Bruno Mars has five No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 including "Just The Way You Are" and "Locked Out of Heaven". The singer-songwriter was honored for best male video and choreography for "Treasure" at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.

The Super Bowl halftime shows draw in more than 100 million television viewers in the United States alone.
