(KCEN) --- A Texas police officer was shot several times by three men during a routine traffic stop.
Saturday, October 26, Stafford police officer Ann Marie Carrizales took two bullets, one to the chest, and the other to the face.
Despite her injuries that didn't stop her from pursuing the fleeing suspects in her car.
One of the suspects was detained by other officers.
Carrizales was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital and was released Saturday night. According to police, her bullet-proof vest saved her life.
