(KCEN) -- On a tour of the flood zone with the Colorado Legislative Delegation, the helicopter carrying Governor John Hickenlooper turned into a rescue mission.

So far, more than 700 people have been rescued air lifted out of locations now inaccessible by roads.

Every helicopter that leaves Boulder Municipal Airport has one simple mission, bring someone back alive.

Colorado authorities warned today that the death toll likely would rise. Currently, four deaths have been confirmed.
