The McLennan Highlanders were well represented in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference All-Conference awards released today.

Highlanders head coach Kevin Gill was named the Coach of the Year for the fifth time in his career. Gill led the Highlanders to a 10-2 record and conference championship this season.

Sophomore Wayne Langston was named the Most Valuable Player. Freshman Ojai Black was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Year, and fellow freshman Jalen Jones was named the Co-Newcomer of the Year. Langston and Jones were both first-team all-conference selections along with sophomore D.J. Weathers. Sophomore Shawn Prudhomme was a second-team selection. Black named an honorable mention selection along with sophomores Tevin Hanner and John Savoy.
