Teague's Heard brothers sign to play football at the collegiate level

The Heard brothers from Teague are college bound!

On Thursday, Antonio and Tyrese Heard signed their National Letters of Intent to play college football.

Tyrese signed with Texas State, while Antonio signed with Navarro.

Texas State made a late push for Tyrese, offering him Wednesday afternoon. Originally Tyrese planned on joining Antonio at Navarro but ultimately chose to sign with the Bobcats.

The Heard brother put up big numbers during their careers at Teague. Offensively Tyrese had 59 catches for 1,052 yards and 15 touchdowns, he also had 20 carries for 144 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, he had 197 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, nine interceptions and four touchdowns. He also scored four special teams touchdowns. As for Antonio, he finishes his career at Teague with 73 catches for 901 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 231 carries for 1,686 yards and 19 touchdowns. As quarterback he was 59 for 117 for 945 yards and 15 touchdowns.
