Killeen Police | More than 100 traffic violations reported in one day

KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Department reported more than a hundred different traffic violations on April 7 as part of their conducted traffic detail.

Officers were sent to four different high traffic areas that have been reported by residents in Killeen: 

  • 1700 S. WS Young Dr. 
  • 3300 Clear Creek Rd.   
  • 3400 block East
  • 3500 block East

During the traffic detail, three Warnings, 117 speeding violations, ten no insurance violations, one license Invalid, two no driver's license, two no seatbelt violations, one failure to signal, three expired registration, four tint violations and one arrest for outstanding warrants, as reported by KPD. 

Based on these numbers the biggest violation for all four high traffic areas was speeding, according to Kileen PD data.

With a total of 144 violations reported, Killeen PD hopes that the traffic details will bring police awareness to the areas.
