WACO, Texas — There is a large police presence on Orchard Lane from Harry James Drive to Loop 340 as multiple agencies search for the suspects who fled a traffic stop, according to the Waco Police Department.
Police say its officers tried to stop a vehicle on Orchard Lane, but the people inside the vehicle fled.
Now, there is a large number of officers from multiple departments, including the Bellmead Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and the McLennan County Sheriff's Office, searching for the suspects, Waco PD said.
Waco PD believes the suspects are armed.
Police are asking the public to avoid this area and remain inside. If you see anything suspicious in that area, call 911.
They didn't say how many suspects there are, what they look like or why they were pulled over.
No other information was released at this time.
