TEMPLE, Texas — Many government offices along with III Corps and Fort Hood will not be open Thursday due to the winter storm that will move through Central Texas. Here's a list of closings. It will be updated.
Fort Hood/III Corps - Closed Friday. Mission essential personnel report for duty in accordance with their supervisory chain. Call 254-287-6700 for updates on weather alerts impacting Fort Hood. Check the post website for more information or the Facebook page.
Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center - Beneficiary appointments rescheduled or shifted to virtual, including clinics, surgeries, administration and ancillary services through Feb. 4. COVID Testing and vaccination site at Abrams Gym closed and will open when weather permits.
VA Central Texas health care facilities - All outpatient clinics and procedures previously scheduled for Thursday will happen virtually via VA Video Connect (VVC) and/or telephone if possible or rescheduled for a future date.
- This does not include the Emergency Room in Temple which remains open.
- Skeleton crews for Austin, Temple, and Waco will provide limited outpatient services for Veterans who walk in for care.
The following clinic locations will be closed: Cedar Park, Bryan, Brownwood, Palestine, LaGrange and the Temple Annex.
