    (KCEN) -- One person is dead after a house fire Friday morning.At 5:39 a.m. on Friday, the Waco Fire Department was called to the River Park Apartments in the 1800 block of North MLK about a fire.When fire crews arrived, they found a body unresponsive in the balcony stairwell.Officials said that two other residents from the complex pulled him from his burning apartment to the stairwell balcony.The man was transported to Hillcrest Hospital where he was pronounced a short time later.The Animal ...More >>

    The State approved funding for Draughton-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport.Approximately $200,000 for the Temple airport was approved by the Texas Transportation Commission at its August meeting.The funds will be used for planned airport improvements.TxDOT says that a project consultant will be selected this fall. Project costs will be funded through the city of Temple and TxDOT's Aviation Facilities Grant Program, which preserves and improves the state's general aviation system...More >>
