Birmingham Bombing Victims Honored 50 Years Later

Four little girls were honored by congress  50 years after their deaths helped propel The Civil Rights movement.  Addie Mae Collins, Denise Mcnair, Carole Robertson and Cynthia Wesley were killed in a bombing at the 16th street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama 50 years ago this week. Tuesday they were  awarded the Congressional Gold Medal ,  the highest civilian honor that Congress can bestow.
