Corpus Christi (KRIS) -- Jurors decided the punishment of the man who admitted to kidnapping and raping an 11-year-old girl sentenced him to life in prison Monday.
The decision came just a couple hours after jurors heard a disturbing jail house phone call in which he called the girl he raped a "dumb slut."
In the call, Jacob Musich's mother, Sharon, asks him if he has remorse for the girl. He responds, "Yes," but changes his tone later in the conversation, suggesting the girl was being dramatic for requesting therapy.
"She said, 'Oh, this is the worst; I can't get over it. I'm going to have to have therapy for he rest of my life.' I don't give a f**k." He continues, "It's not like we f***ing took her for f***ing three days out of town f***ing to New Mexico."
His mother's response is unintelligible.
Police said Musich, 19, and two other men, Colton Visor, 19, and Eric Dimick, 18, abducted the girl on Braesvalley Drive in December 2012 while she was riding her bicycle.
Both Visor and Dimick will be tried together on charges of aggravated kidnapping. The court has not yet set a trial date.
In addition to the life sentence, Musich received 99 years in prison for the aggravated kidnapping charge. Both sentences were the maximum penalties allowed under law.
