Moody man convicted of sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl

Roy Wayne Glenn was sentenced Thursday for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in 2015.

WACO - A 63-year-old Moody man was found guilty Wednesday of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and sentenced to two life sentences behind bars.

Bell County Sheriff's Deputies said Roy Wayne Glenn sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl on March 15, 2015 -- just inside the McLennan County Line. As a result, Glenn was tried before Judge Ralph Strother in McLennan County 19th District Court.

Bell County Assistant District Attorneys Fred Burns and Shelly Strimple prosecuted the case as special prosecutors since the trial was in another county.

Glenn was still being held in the McLennan County Jail on Thursday. He will eventually be moved to a prison.
