Photos released of possible witness in 2015 Waco murder

Waco police want to find a possible witness to a 2015 murder.

WACO - Waco Police want to find a possible witness to a 2015 homicide, and detectives hope someone can identify her through photos they posted on Facebook.

The images were taken on Dec. 22, 2015 when Braxton Bennett, 25, was shot near 1007 N Valley Mills Drive, then got into a vehicle and fled -- ultimately crashing in the 6300 block of Bosque Boulevard.

Detectives said the woman was at the scene of the single-vehicle crash and might have witnessed something that could help investigators find Bennett's killer.

In the photos, the woman -- who looks young -- appears to be black with long, dark hair. She appeared to be wearing a dark-colored tank top in the images. She was seen in a dark vehicle, police said.

If you believe you recognize the woman, please call Detective C. Price at 254-750-7615 or contact Waco Crime Stoppers at 254-753-4357. The case reference number is #15-23534.
