Police seek Killeen hotel shooting suspect

A suspicious man tried to enter the back door to the office of a Killeen hotel early Wednesday morning, then fired multiple shots at someone who called 911 before running away, police said.

It happened at 2:02 a.m. at the Hallmark Inn and Suites located at 4500 E Central Texas Expressway, according to Killeen Police Commander Alex Gearhart.

Gearhart said nobody was hurt, and officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as a black man with an average build. The man had a beard and mustache, according to police. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a beanie-style hat. 

Detectives asked anyone who recognized the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 254-526-8477 or submit a tip online by clicking here. All tips are anonymous. If your tip leads to an arrest, you could be paid a cash reward of up to $1,000.
