Denton Guyer High School Football Player Killed In Dallas Shooting

A high school football player was killed during a shooting in Dallas.

18-year old Nathan Maki, starting fullback for Denton Guyer High School, was found dead in a pickup up truck in a field close to Bowie.

The sheriffs department made the discovery after receiving a call around 11:30 Saturday night. 

Denton Guyer won the Class 4A Division 1 State Championship last season.

A statement posted on a team website and on Facebook said, "Our team, school, community, and, most of all, the family of Nate Maki, have suffered a great loss. We ask for supporters' prayers."
