Finding the 'Fairest' Price at the Fair

(KCEN) - With cool weather conditions, the Heart O' Texas Fair and Rodeo is expecting big crowds this weekend.

However, the cost of foods, rides and parking may prevent some families from coming out.

At the fair, one dollar equals one token. Anything you want on the grounds, whether it's rides or food, costs tokens.  If you come to the fair on the right night, you can do the fair and rodeo at a 'fair' price.

If you get to the fair Sunday before 11:30, admission is free.

On Monday, senior citizen's are only $4, and for kids, a $15 wristband will let them on any ride.

On Tuesday's Ride 'em Cowboy Night, the price of the ticket lets you on any ride for free.

Wednesday, ladies and anyone with a West address gets in for only $5.

Now, not everything cost tokens.

Starting Sunday, October 6th, the rodeo is included in the price of your ticket and the petting zoo is always free along with the livestock show.

Luke Weltch, father of two kids under 2 years of age got his kids in for free. Weltch says, "It could cost a little bit, but it's well worth the fun."
