(KCEN) -- New information on the Korean air plane forced to land in Dallas yesterday after a potential catastrophic failure.
An engine problem is now blamed for the emergency landing.
Just after departure, the Boeing 777 pilot radioed air traffic control and said he needed to return.
The plane was forced to circle DFW Airport for about 40 minutes to dump fuel.
All runways were closed at the airport for a short time.
They quickly reopened when the alert was downgraded from catastrophic failure to a potential problem with aircraft.
Afterward the plane was able to land safely.
