A ranch is taking a different approach to heal veterans

Robison Ranch hosts Camp Cowboy helping veterans heal through horses

For many military personnel the battle doesn't end after service, the struggle of dealing with PTSD is all to real for many entering civilian life. Medication treatment for ptsd can leave veterans heavily sedated and for some traditional therapy hasn't had the desired effect, and that's why former veterans Scott Robison and Tony Cole created camp cowboy to heal with horses.

The animals don't have any preconceived notions about who people are and will only give the veterans as much respect as they give them, and through the camp they learn again how to be calm in everyday life.

The camp runs for 90 days letting veterans experience every aspect of ranch life believing that no job is too small and no job is unworthy. With the results the camp is seeing and the number of veterans returning voluntarily, they say the horses can do the same for everyone.
