Boil water notice lifted for the Belton area

UPDATE: The boil water notice was lifted Thursday, according to an announcement by the Dog Ridge Water Supply.

--

The Dog Ridge Water Supply issued yet another boil water notice Wednesday, citing a water main break on FM 1670.

Affected customers live on the north side of the FM 1670 water tower and include folks living on Countryside Lane, 190 Lane and a portion of the Highway 190 access road toward Belton.

If you live in the impacted zone, you are urged to destroy any potentially harmful bacteria or microbes by vigorously boiling water prior to consuming. If you choose not to boil water, you are encouraged to buy bottled water or obtain water from another safe source.

If you have any questions, please contact the Dog Ridge Water Supply Office at 254-939-6533 or call Mark Seffrood at 254-721-0401.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality can be reached at 512-239-4691.
