Around Central Texas Week of Dec. 5th

Preview of events happening around Central Texas during the week of December 5th, 2016.

Monday, December 5th: Watch over 100 parade floats, marching bands and decorated rides make their way through Downtown Temple during the annual Christmas Parade. The tree lighting will begin at 6:15 PM and the parade follows at 6:30 PM.

Through December 11th: Celebrate a Victorian Christmas: Southern Style with the Historic Waco Foundation. The Fort Showcase House is open from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Wednesday, December 7th: Christmas Is Coming! Story time at West Waco Library. Enjoy stories, songs and crafts all about Christmas. Event is for kids ages 3-6. Event starts at 10:30 AM.

Thursday, December 8th: Enjoy Sundae's with Santa hosted by The Park at MTM. Price is $6.50 per child (adults FREE with paying child) and includes a hotdog and drink. Sundae bar costs $2 and Santa will be available for pictures from 6 to 8 PM. Proceeds benefit Educated Angels.

Friday, December 9th-10th: Christmas at the Silos features activities for all ages including pictures with Santa, live reindeer, bakery treats and a night time concert. Daytime events are FREE. Concert tickets are $20 each and begin at 7 PM.

Saturday, December 10th: 54th Annual Killeen Christmas Parade hosted by the 1st Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment. Parade travels through the Historic District and features over 100 entries. Parade begins at 4:30 PM.

Sunday, December 11th: The Waco Symphony Orchestra performs The Nutcracker. The Russian fairytale begins at 2 PM at Waco Hall.
