Around Central Texas Week of Nov. 7th

Preview of events happening around Central Texas for the week of November 7th, 2016.

Monday, November 7th: Kids can enjoy adventure-based outdoor activities such as team building, hiking and arts and crafts at Camp Explore in Temple. Cost is $12 per child per day.

Tuesday, November 8th: Election Day! Head over to McLennan Community College after voting for an Election Night Watch Party. The Government department is hosting the event in room 111 to the public and students. Event begins at 6PM.

Wednesday, November 9th: Enjoy a four-course dinner catered by Barnett's Public House. Seating is limited to 40 people and tickets are $35. Dinner will be held at Bare Arms Brewing at starts at 7PM.

Thursday, November 10th: Catch the first day of Rapunzel performed by the Children's Youth Theater in Waco.Tickets are $10 when bought online, $12 at the door and $8 for children and seniors. The musical lasts until November 13th.

Friday, November 11th: Honor your local veterans with the Central Texas Community Veterans Day Parade. The parade will make its way through downtown Killeen starting on the west end of Avenue D by City Hall. Parade begins at 11AM.

Saturday, November 12th: Annual Zoo Stampede at the Cameron Park Zoo. You can participate in a 1K run/walk 5K race and 10K race. Tickets range from $10 to $45 depending on the race and when you sign up.

Sunday, November 13th: Heart of Texas Crop Hunger Walk. The non-profit is hosting the 5K walk and Golden Mile in Waco. Walk helps raise money to end hunger at home and around the world. Registration is at 2PM at the Bledsoe-Miller Recreation Center and the walk begins at 3PM.
