Knife and guns pulled in fight with bikers at Waco nightclub

A bar fight leads to gunfire over the weekend in Waco.

WACO - A fight involving a group of bikers, connected to the Bandidos, escalated into gun fire Sunday morning at a Waco nightclub.

Police were called to the Chapter 11 Club at 619 Esther just before 2 a.m. after getting reports that a man had been assaulted by several bikers.

Police determined seven members of a group affiliated with the Bandidos attacked the man and that one of them held a knife to the victim's neck.

Witnesses told police the victim pulled a gun from his waistband and several shots were fired during the attack. The victim escaped and ran, battered and bloody, from the club.

The suspects also got away before police arrived.

Police did not know if anyone was shot or stabbed during the incident.  Police did find a handgun and several spent casings at the scene.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Waco Police.

The Bandidos were involved in the May 17, 2015 shootout with the Cossacks motorcycle club at the Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco.  Nine bikers were killed and more than 20 others injured.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story referred to the bikers involved as Bandidos.  Police say they were affiliated with that biker club, not actual members.
