Barbecue burglary caught on camera at Killeen home

KILLEEN - A Killeen woman hopes her home security system will help police find a barbecue burglar.

Gail Ladson sent Channel 6 surveillance photos that show a man, Ladson said, stole her turkey fryer, smoker, two butane tanks and a weed eater.

Ladson said the smoker was a Christmas gift from her children and had never been used.

The photos are from Ladson's backyard around 11 a.m. on May 15.  Ladson reported the theft to Killeen Police on May 16 after her husband noticed the items missing when he went to mow the yard.

A spokesperson for Killeen Police confirmed they are investigating the case as a burglary.  It happened in the 4400 block of Topsey Dr.

Ladson said she's lived in the home for 20 years and never had any trouble.

"My purpose for wanting this story public is to bring awareness and hopefully assist others in this area," said Ladson.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photos or knows anything about the alleged crime should call Killeen Police.
