Baylor's Title IX Coordinator Resigns

WACO -- Baylor University announced Title IX Coordinator Patty Crawford has resigned. The announcement came just before midnight. In a press release Baylor says "Our understanding is that Patty was disappointed in her role in implementing the recommendations that resulted from the Pepper Hamilton investigation."

Patty was hired by the University in November 2014. There she implemented and oversaw Baylor's Title IX compliance efforts. She was responsible of coordinating and executing the school's response to alleged violations of Title IX.

Her resignation comes as Baylor University continues to be under fire over mishandling of sexual assault complaints by University athletes.

Baylor says it is "grateful for Patty's leadership in establishing fair and equitable Title IX processes that are also supportive of the needs of survivors."
