BELL COUNTY - Huge crowds descended upon the Bell County Expo Center on Saturday for its first ever Comic Con held in the area.

More than 10,000 presale tickets were sold for the event.
Celebrities and superheroes alike came out in full force for the event.

Fans had the opportunity to meet some of the biggest names in the comic and entertainment industry. WWE Hall of Famer Sting, the creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Flash Gordon were all in attendance.

Comic Con attendees said the event was well worth braving the heat and crowds.

"Everybody should come out and check this out," Stephanie McGinty said. "This is a life time experience. It's so much fun. I can't wait to to it again."

Thousands of people are expected to attend the event throughout the weekend -- which will continue all day Sunday.
