Spartanburg County, SC (WLTX) - Officials say they recovered another body Sunday on the property of Todd Kohlhepp, the man charged in four murders and suspected in three others.
Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright said late in the afternoon that the remains were discovered on the 95 acre plot of land that Kohlhepp, 45, owns. Wright said it's too soon to know the identity of this latest body that has been discovered.
This is the same property where investigators say he held a 30-year-old woman chained in a container for two months, and shot and killed the woman's boyfriend, 32-year-old Charles Carver. Carver's body was also found on the property, officials confirmed Saturday.
After being rescued, the girlfriend told investigators she saw Kohlhepp shoot Carver.
Investigators say Kohlhepp took them to one other gravesite, but they have not recovered a body at that location yet. Crews will be back out Monday to look for those remains.
Kohlhepp was formally charged with shooting deaths of four people that took place exactly 13-years ago: November 6, 2003. In that case, Kohlhepp is accused of murdering the victims at the Superbike Motorsports in Chesnee. The case was Spartanburg County’s first quadruple homicide in Spartanburg County's history, and has remained unsolved for all this time.
